What flowers (or colors of flowers) would look nice at a wedding with these colors schemes?
1) Choose several of the following: blue delphinium, white larkspur, white lilies, white daisies, white asters, blue iris, white alstromeria, blue Belladonna, white statice
2) Choose several of the following: Peach gerberas, pastel snapdragons, blue carnations, pastel alstromeria, and some of the white flowers mentioned above
3) Choose several of the following: Pink, orange and yellow alstromeria, orange and yellow lilies, orange gladioli, orange and pink gerberas, yellow larkspur. (I would leave the blue out of the sunset colors.)

I had blue delphinium, pink alstromeria and a white star shaped flower that I can't remember the name of in my bouquet. I love alstromeria (alternate spelling alstroemeria). 2) Use lilies! These flowers are usually a blend of vibrant yet soft colors....like soft lavendar flowing into hot pink. You can find them in a variety of exotic colors, and the flowers just have a 'beach' look that'd go well.
3) Go with tulips!! You can get them in all of these colors listed....they are beautiful flowers, and with this bright arrangement...it'd be gorgeous.

1. I think the prettiest flowers here would be white roses with yellow accent flowers or if getting married during the summer, even decorating with sunflowers (they come in a "baby" size too that would be cute for butonniers).
2. It sounds a little too busy, you should just get married at the beach and use the natural splendor there . . .
3. Would be cute, because you could have each bridesmaid where a different color in the same dress which could be really fun and different. As far as flowers go, maybe orchids or something tropical?
I personally think the first one would be the easiest because you could make it a provencial (think France) theme and have sunflowers and lavender (which smell divine) and big beautiful white roses or hydrangeas in the pale bluish-purple and cream . . . it would leave you with more options all together.

Help! I already paid for my wedding flowers and I'm having MAJOR 2nd thoughts about them!?
I went to a florist and made a hasty decision about my wedding flowers (bouquets, etc.) and now I totally regret it and want to change it or get my $$ back. How do I go about this politely?

you can change your order. after I met with my florist, I decided I wasn't crazy about what we picked out. so I looked at theknot.com and went through tons of bridal magazines and gathered pics of bouquets I did like and took them back to my florist and she changed my order. my flowers ended up beautiful.
Reply:Just because you paid for them, doesn't mean you can't change your mind. Go back to her and discuss with her what some other options for flowers could be for you. Its her job to make your flowers the way you want them, and you can change your mind if you want to, as long as it isn't too close to the time that she's ordering them.

Depending on what KIND of changes you make you may need to pay a little bit more but at least you won't be having second thoughts.
Call the shop and ask to speak with the Manager or the Owner....NOT A SALESPERSON. Then explain the problem and remember to stroke their egos.
"Hi Judy, it's Kim from the Jones wedding? I've been thinking and that red rose arrangement you showed me was abosolutely breathtaking but I think I might want to switch it up and go with orange calla lillies for my boquet. Can we do that? Sorry if it puts you in a bind but I've really been having second thoughts about my choices. You do such great work i would hate to lose you as my vendor."
Pause nicely and usually they will say something like "Oh sure. I'll alter the order now" or throw on an extra sentance "Well the callas are going to be an extra $2 a stem. We can definately do it but you're going to need to bring the difference in by Friday"
Then make absolutely sure that the contract is changed to reflect your new choices.

I used them at the church and them brought them to the reception and at the end of the night - let the guests take them home. I bought our flowers wholesale at Costco- $13.99 for 2 dozen. But silk will work too and I think Joann's or Michael's has a good selection. Hope this helps! Happy planning!

I'm having difficulty deciding what flowers to have at my wedding.. i've been eyeing tulips or orchids, but know they can be pretty pricey..i'd love to have as many flowers as possible, but don't want to spend a fortune.

Hobby Lobby has a wonderful selection also. If you go online (www.hobbylobbly.com) and sign up for the email ads, you get a coupon every week. Every other week, it is a 40% off a regular item. Print as many coupons as you want and buy all you need.
Keep in mind that both of these stores also run great sales.
I know you want fake flowers, but typically, most areas have a fresh food market that sells bulk flowers. Daisies are such a common flower that you might be able to get more this way for a cheaper price and organize your own bouquets.

They should have great quality floral and sometimes will have them at a reasonable price. You should also consider who will be putting them together for you. If you will be designing them, that is great. Most craft stores have designers that can put them together for you however you may not like the price they charge. Reply:Most dollar stores do carry a selection of artificial flowers. But you get what you pay for. Check with your local craft store. If you need a larger quantity they may be able to offer you a discount. Or at least their sale price (generally 20-30% off)

Reply:If there is a Micheal's craft store near you check there they clear out their silk flowers every season usually at 50% off. I got almost all mine there the final bill was $60.00 for 3 bridesmaid 1 Jr bridesmaid and a flower girl. I also got my flowers ( two bouquets a much lighter one to throw my bouquet is way too heavy to throw) there and the centerpieces and corsages for 3 moms and a grandma (fiance didn't want any on the men so I have a bit extra)
Also check eBay as I found my bouquet on their after I made it and it was being cleared out of an eBay store.
Take pics when you go to give you an idea of how many you will need otherwise you will be going back for more to fill in spots because once you wrap it it won't sit the same as it did when you were holding them to get an idea of size.

I know you want fake flowers, but typically, most areas have a fresh food market that sells bulk flowers. Daisies are such a common flower that you might be able to get more this way for a cheaper price and organize your own bouquets.

Reply:Any craft store such as Hobby Lobby, Micheal's or Joanns. Wal-Mart and Dollar stores offer a variety of silk flowers. You may also want to talk to your local florist. They should have great quality floral and sometimes will have them at a reasonable price. You should also consider who will be putting them together for you. If you will be designing them, that is great. Most craft stores have designers that can put them together for you however you may not like the price they charge. Reply:Most dollar stores do carry a selection of artificial flowers. But you get what you pay for. Check with your local craft store. If you need a larger quantity they may be able to offer you a discount. Or at least their sale price (generally 20-30% off)

Reply:If there is a Micheal's craft store near you check there they clear out their silk flowers every season usually at 50% off. I got almost all mine there the final bill was $60.00 for 3 bridesmaid 1 Jr bridesmaid and a flower girl. I also got my flowers ( two bouquets a much lighter one to throw my bouquet is way too heavy to throw) there and the centerpieces and corsages for 3 moms and a grandma (fiance didn't want any on the men so I have a bit extra)
Also check eBay as I found my bouquet on their after I made it and it was being cleared out of an eBay store.
Take pics when you go to give you an idea of how many you will need otherwise you will be going back for more to fill in spots because once you wrap it it won't sit the same as it did when you were holding them to get an idea of size.

I went to the Bridal shop and found my dream dress...the dress is Champagne. I loved it and had to get it! We're getting married in the snow and our color is a sapphire blue. I have no idea on flowers for the wedding, I don't want to make my dress look dingy with white flowers and the wedding is only 5 months away! What colors, what type...HELP Please!

Reply:I got married in January and My flowers were white Fuji mums and white roses.they had some fill in there too greens and other creamy colored flowers. the girls carried white Fuji mums and red roses. their dresses were sapphire blue velvet. My dress was white but the Fuji mums are not pure white they almost look a little champagne or creamy. It was beautiful. You could always use just the Cream colored flowers if you don't want other colors. Go to the florist and ask to see them . Take a sample of the fabric with to show them. they know what flowers look good with what. That's part of their business.
and no with all that red white and blue it did not look patriotic. It was beautiful

I loved the suggestion of the hydrangeas, but make sure they are in season. Picking flowers that are in season will not only be cost effective but will also help convey the season in your photographs. Don't fret over the champagne dress. You love it, run with it! Reply:Off cream (off white) roses they are beautiful and pick up the colors they are around, for a different look in the bouquets dainty twigs sprayed the Sapphire blue and coated in diamond dust ( at craft stores). The crystals are white in color will pick up the Sapphire blue. Good Luck
