depends on your budget....
How much money is too much to spend on silk flowers for a wedding?
Any amount. Buy real flowers. I would not ever have silk flowers.
Reply:You will always have those people who would never use silk, that is fine that is their opinion. For people like me who are severly allergic, I am glad there are silks that are good quality out there.
If you don't mind silks there are some really beautiful ones. The well made ones individually can cost around $8+, but there are some you can find at $5 that is per flower. Of course a florist who works with silks will get them at a better price.
Check this website out, this woman does amazing work and you'd never know they were silk, she is reasonably priced too!

Reply:I agree with the real flowers, silk flowers look terrible in photographs and for the cost of real good silk flowers- you could have gotten real flowers.
Reply:I agree with the 2nd answerer who said to buy real flowers. Silk flowers simply won't do at a wedding.
Reply:It really does depend on your budget. I spent around 1000 on flowers. but I also got a discount and got them at cost due to being related to the florist. I don't agree about never using silk. I now after 1 and a half years since being married, can look at my flower bouquet and remember that special day. also if you find the right florist, the flowers look real. I had people asking me all day if my flowers were real. we did mix a few real Easter lilies in with some of the arrangements.
Reply:Any amount in my book. People think they are saving by buying silks....they are not. There are so many places that you can get fresh flowers at a cheap price. Check these places out:
~ Walmart (in store selection, special order selection and internet selection.) A dozen roses in the store are $10, which is definitely cheaper than silk!
~ Costco (same selection as above)
~ Your local grocery store (if they have a floral department)
~ Farmers markets
~ www.rosesource.com
~ wild flowers!
Reply:If you have spent more than $1 you have spend too much.

Go with real flowers.
If you use whatever flower is in season, it won't be that expensive and it will look much nicer.
Buy your own and arrange them simply, like roses with a ribbon tied around the stems or a bunch of beautiful wildflowers. Find a local flower wholesaler.

Reply:it all depends on what and how they are done. What are you looking at buying and the amount of each item you are looking at buying. I wouldn,t pay more then 75.00 for the bridal bouquet. Unless you are choosing flowers or something in the bouquet that is very hard to come by.
