Affordable wedding flowers in Australia?

I'm having difficulty deciding what flowers to have at my wedding.. i've been eyeing tulips or orchids, but know they can be pretty pricey..i'd love to have as many flowers as possible, but don't want to spend a fortune.

also, has anyone tried the sydney flower markets? are they any good?

my bridesmaids will be in yellow (i think at this stage).

any suggestions?

I had roses for my wedding - white with blue crystals with them

I think pinkish roses would look good with yellow dresses

Prices vary between each person - make sure you do your homework

Email me and I can give you more info
Reply:Yes, trying the markets is a good idea. You can also ask the vendors about which flowers look great, are easy to maintain and are inexpensive. When doing your own flowers a lot of people recommend roses because they are hardy and easy to maintain.

It depends a lot on the time of year you're having your wedding as well- if you're not having your wedding in late autumn, winter or early spring then tulips will be very expensive (and sometimes not available at all in summer).

As for what goes with yellow- white, cream, blue, green, purple and certain pinks can look good with yellow.
Reply:If you want lots of flowers for you money, try gerbera daisy's. They are colourful and bright , plus they arnt that expensive.
