Any ideas for wedding flowers in September?

When looking at weddings it really depends on the colors that you have chosen. The hot choices of colors right now include the following:

1. Red, orange, yellow

2. Sage and pink (more spring or summer)

3. Red and white

4. Burgundys and plums

5. Gold and white

I think a September wedding would look fabulous in the fall colors. A bridal bouquet in rich red and orange roses with red hypericum, red ranunculus, yellow and red freesia, red/orange double tulips will look spectacular. To make it extra special do one of the following:

1. Add in some yellow or red leaf detailing

2. Add in some bouquet jewels in yellow or red at www.bouquetjewels.com Ask your florist for these because they can get them at a discount.

3. Add in some stephanotis stems with jewels in the center

4. Add in some red or yellow orchids

5. Choose a flower not often used by asking your florist to get something from the flower market on the day he/she goes. Dare to be surprised. A florist usually would love this.

I often picture a fall wedding near a tree with beautiful lantern like candles hanging from a tree with flowers draping down from a tree. An arch would be nice with a lot of greenery and accents of sage green, orange, and red. It depends on what you can do if there's wind. Inside use a lot of candle light for September. It's getting close to Christmas time, and the warmth of candlelight makes people happy. Warm colored flowers do the same thing. Perhaps use a large mirror in the center of your guest tables and add different sizes, and looks of candles (different colors along with your color scheme. Cover the whole area with orange and red petals. If you have more money cover the end of your head table with lots of greenery and warm colored flowers trailing off. The centerpieces can be tall with candle holders hanging down from it. For your ceremony don't forget to cover your aisle in rose petals if the venue allows it, and you're outside. If inside try lining the aisle in pretty small flower arrangements or plants. There are so many pretty fall ideas. You can also have some leafs spray painted gold. Almost any flower is in season except peonies. It also depends on where you are, and what florist you choose. Take, care, and hope some of these ideas help you :-)

I choose victorian colors for my July wedding (end of month).....Light blues, dark pinks, medium purples, and white, of course.......I love the look of those colors together, so I went with those colors. My bridesmaids wore dark pink to accent the flowers....GL;)
Reply:Any good florist will be able to tell you that. Just go in any local florist and ask; most are more than happy to give a list and with approximate prices.

I know carnations, roses, and most greens (ferns, ivy, baby's breath) are always in season. I would go with carnations, very inexpensive and can be turned any color you want
Reply:it kindof depends on what colors you are interested in, and if you are on a budget. you can get almost any flower at any time of the year now, but if its not naturally in season then its going to be a LOT more expensive. sunflowers are in season from may-november, and other flowers around during that time are the zinnia, tuberose, tweedia, veronica, phlox, lisianthus, larkspur, delphinium, carnation, cosmos, freesia, gardenia, gerbera...the list goes on and on. i suggest picking a color scheme first, and also the knot book of wedding flowers can be quite helpful, as it will have pictures of flowers, prices, seasons, how to do it yourself tips, and different types of bouquets. theres probably free online resources, or you can always use google images to look up each flower individually.
Reply:My neighbors lawn is packed with Dandylions, please help yourself
Reply:I used dark red gerbera daisies and other fall colored flowers. It think there was some kind of lily in there too.

You could always use roses too.
Reply:I dont know if you like Roses..but the orange roses are beautiful..and you could add some cream as well. But it also depends on your bridal colors as well. Go to www.floralfestivities.com and see the featured weddings...there is one that is a September wedding..her colors are nice..and look at the reception photos..those are the colors I am talking about..beautiful. Good luck..any questions email me m_varville@yahoo.com
