I am getting married and im wearing ivory and my bridesmaids are in beige / mocha long. they are having ivory roses posies and i would like three types of peach rose in my shower boquet but im worried that they wont go what do people think? I have already done my invites in orage / peach and favors.
What wedding colours and flowers should i choose?
Congrats ^^ Anywho, not everything has to match! Plus, the bouquet is a mere detail.People will remember your wedding not what colours you had in your wedding =P At any rate, peach roses are beautiful flowers so they will go into your bouquet perfectly ^^ Have fun at your wedding!
Reply:um maybe u should like Mix 1 mre clour try
think of a clour that is like peach and would go with peach have a good wedding and REMEMBER TO LUVE UR HUSBAND ALOT!
Reply:I say don't worry about what other people think. This is a special day for you and your fiance. Choose what is most attractive to the two of you. Enjoy the day!
Reply:Those colors will accent beige and ivory well.
Reply:peach beige and ovroy sounds like they would all match perfectly
they are all pastel type colours and i think they would compliment each other :)
Reply:Hmmmm - no offense but it seems kind of bland to me - it needs more color. If you already did your invites - find flowers and table covers that are orange.....
Reply:You should go with a bright orange color or bright red
congrats on gettin married!
Reply:red
Reply:I think you should stick with the ones you picked, it sounds beautiful and I think all the colors go together well
Reply:There are really cool two-tone roses out there. For great bouquet ideas check reputable flower websites, like www.ftd.com, you may end up seeing something you like and will have a pic to show to the florists.
Congrats and good luck!

What silk flowers could be used in a wedding with color scheme of red, white, and blue?
My wedding is on July 18, 2008 and I am having a hard time coming up with what types of flowers to decorate with. I need some ideas (besided red, white, and blue roses or carnations)...
What silk flowers could be used in a wedding with color scheme of red, white, and blue?
Red and white......if you aren't careful blue silks tend to look pretty cheap.
Just take a drive to the Garden Ridge or equivilant craft store in your area and walk around. Browse up and down aisles and load the cart with any flower in your colors that catch your eye, then narrow down to a few. What would be good for you will depend on the other details of your wedding like budget, formality, time/date....etc.
The good news about silks is if you see a flower that you like in nature but say it only comes in pink....you can probably find a red silk version.
Reply:Those colors are going to be beautiful.
Silk:
Bluebonnets
hydrangias
poppies
tullips
white dailies
Reply:red tulips, white daffodils and blue hydrangea
I would recommend searching through real flower photos to get ideas.
Sensational Brides has a great deal of photos for flowers
Good luck

What is the point of carrying flowers in a wedding?
I think it's a waste of money and that they just get in the way. Is it just for aesthetics? Or is there really a reason why the bride and bridesmaids carry flowers?
What is the point of carrying flowers in a wedding?
It would be awkward for the bride to walk down empty handed, what would she do with her hands??
Reply:I read somewhere that back LONG, LONG when people bathed only once a year or so that flowers where carried so their fragrance would cover up the odor. It doesn't make sense to me though. If you smell that bad then bathe. Don't know how true it is.
Reply:These days it really is just for aesthetics. They're beautiful but if it's not what you want... you don't have to abide by the tradition.
Reply:They didn't bathe back in the day. The flowers everyone wore (and the petals they dropped) covered up the smell of b.o.
This is also the reason we send flowers to a funeral - to cover the smell of the dead body during the wake (waiting for them to wake back up when they were mispronounced dead).
Wedding flowers also represent youth, beauty, gifts and bounty.
Reply:i really have no idea
but now that u mention it ima start askn around lol.
but it makes the bride look prettier holdin lik red roses .. i wana do that lol.
Reply:Pure aesthetics. I'm carrying a bouquet because I love flowers but my bridesmaids will have wrist corsages. They didn't want to figure out what to do with a bouquet during the reception and since they're holding a chuppah they need free hands.
Yesterday, my fiance and I were trying to figure out the whole guest book situation. What kind of book or should we get a painted canvas and have people write on it, etc. Then we asked ourselves, what's the point of a guest book anyway? That's when we decided that if we're worrying about how to do something, then we're not going to do it. Why stress, right? If you don't want people carrying flowers, then cut it out of your wedding.
Reply:In a way, I agree with you.. but personally, I'll be glad to have something in my hands!! I'll be so nervous, I don't know what I'd do with them otherwise.
Reply:It is a tradition that started in old times when bathing was only possible once a year.
People only bathed in the summer so they wouldn't freeze being wet. It isn't like they had furnaces in their homes, they normally had one fireplace in a house.
Weddings were traditionally held in the spring at the time so their yearly bath was still a couple months off.
The flowers cover up the smell.
Reply:I have heard the theory that it was to cover up body odor as people did not bathe as much in the old days.
However, in one of my wedding books, it stated that it was because the scent of the flowers were thought to keep away evil spirits that tended to "attack" soon to be brides. Supposedly that is why there are bridesmaids....so that when the evil spirits "showed up" they wouldn't know which one was the bride since all the girls were dressed up and carrying flowers and then they would just leave.
Sounds stupid but I think I read it in "Weddings for Dummies".
Reply:There's probably a tradition behind it, but there's no reason you have to follow the tradition if you don't want. When and if I ever get married, there are several traditions I have no intention of keeping. Flowers happen to be important to me, so I will be keeping that one (and splurging on nice ones! I love flowers), but no one says you have to. Perhaps you'd like to carry something else down the aisle? Perhaps you'd like to carry nothing? Go for it. Be creative. It will make your wedding more memorable.
If you want to stick with the tradition though and are looking to save money, let me tell you what we did in my sisters wedding. My mom went to Costco and picked up two boquets of roses for 10 bucks a piece. She then took 8 roses, bunched them together and wrapped ribbon around the stems (she also trimmed the stems down to just about six inches, instead of the traditional long stem length). These provided small, tasteful, elegant boquets for all the bridesmaids for only 20 dollars or so.
Reply:It started in the old days because people would not bath often and they typically did it in the spring so by weeding day the bride AND groom were getting ripe. The flowers were carried by the bride to mask her odor.
Strange but true. That's why most people back then got married in June. Less time to get stinky.
Reply:Red F is right - at least according to the lore I've heard....
They'd bathe in May and marry in June... fresh as a june bride or whatever the saying is.
Reply:tradition. it's ultimately your choice. it's your wedding you could have them hold kites or nothing at all.
flowers are "pretty" and traditional. that's all. nothing special.
Reply:i think its so you have something to do with your hands, that way you aren't swinging your arms and stuff. If you dont like them then dont use them - or better yet, get your girls together and make them with fake flowers. They look just as good, they are way cheaper and that way you get an extra night with the girls that mean the most to you before your wedding. Throw some wine and food in and i bet you all have a blast!

What is the meaning of carrying a bouquet of flowers for your wedding?
Is there a reason for this, or is it just because flowers are pretty? I never really thought about it before, and I'm just wondering because when I think about it, it seems strange, because there doesn't seem to be a purpose. Am I missing it? (And no offense to those who do carry flowers, just curious :) )
What is the meaning of carrying a bouquet of flowers for your wedding?
For centuries, flowers have stood for a variety of emotions and values. Roses for love, lilies for virtue and so on. In ancient marriages, the brides carried herbs beneath their veils to symbolize fidelity. Greek brides carried ivy as a symbol of never-ending love. Orange blossoms, (the world renowned wedding flower) were chosen by the Spaniards to represent happiness and fulfillment, because the orange tree flowers and bears fruit at the same time. During even earlier times of "primitive marriage," when the fear of demons was most prevalent, the brides carried stinking garlands of herbs and spices for the purpose of frightening off evil spirits.
Today, brides carry flowers in the color scheme of their wedding, bringing beauty and elegance as well as old world customs to their special day.
Reply:In general, they are used for weddings to symbolize fertility.
You can go in deeper than that if you want to find out which flowers symbolize what, as well as the colours of them.
Reply:It can mean fertility, but also back in the day when people didnt bathe too often they didnt smell very well so the bride would carry a bouqet to help cover and bad odor.
Reply:I seem to remember that it was originally a bunch of wheat. It was to symbolize having plenty to eat in your coming life.
Reply:It simbolized Fertility.
Good luck

What is the best way to buy flowers for a wedding, which store is the best?
I am getting married in June and I am looking at the kind of flowers that I want. But I do not have a vast budgett. So cheap but quality.
What is the best way to buy flowers for a wedding, which store is the best?
Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
I absolutely love real flowers, but some prefer the silk.
My suggestion would be to go to a florist. That is their business! ALL florists are willing to work with you AND your budget. They have lots of books with examples and also books showing actual weddings that they have done. You can also look through bridal magazines to get ideas. Take pictures and your ideas to the florist and see what they can do for you!
Check with your family, co-workers, friends, etc. to see what florist in the area they recommend. Good luck!
Reply:I used silk flowers. I got them from Jo ann Fabrics and a place called the flower factory but it is one of those places that someone has to belong to. I actually bought centerpieces for my bridal shower and cut the flowers out of that and made my bridesmaid bouquets and part of the boutonnieres. Reusing is a great idea, no one knew but me, no one knew they were silk and then your bridesmaid can take them home and use it somewhere, instead of throwing them away.
Reply:It's always best to go with a reputable local florist.
Reply:Trader Joe's. They have the best selection and they're cheap.
Reply:Hi there! also getting married in June. Im going tolook at arts and craft stores (if you're planning to not spend alot) and make them. It's not really hard if you have something in mind to go off of... a picture of a bouquet you like, type of flowers, colors. Then whip out your ribbon and hot glue gun and put some together and see what you come up with.
Reply:Do your research with some florists in your area. Let them know your budget and make their suggestions for what you want to do within your budgetary constraints. Look at their books of arrangements for other weddings. They always have them. If you like what you see not only in the books but the arrangements around the store, then they are the florist for you.
Reply:I dont know where you live, but here we have gourmet grocery stores that have big flower departments, like Central Market and Wholefoods. I had a friend who used them, and they supplied the flowers for her for her tables, and she just orderd cala lillies for the bridesmaids. She picked up the flowers herself and did the arranging on the tables. She only had her arrangement made at a florist. If you dont have stores like those, look for wholesale florists.
Reply:silk is cheaper and you have nice keepsakes.
Reply:If you intend to do all the arrangements yourself, you must consider where you are going to store the arrangements before the actual wedding. They need to go into a temperature controlled refrigerator!
Now, with that being said, you can purchase flowers in quantity from a site like this:http://www.growersbox.com/categories.php...
or this:
There is also proflowers.com wedding flowers. They come in packages, already made it bridal bouquets, boutiniers, etc, and you can pick the flowers you want and how many of each thing you want.

What are the best all white flowers to use in a wedding?
My wedding is early Sept. in CA. Bridesmaids are wearing navy blue/black dresses. I would like to use all white flowers? Any thoughts?
What are the best all white flowers to use in a wedding?
just make sure to get them as fresh as possible if you use white, they tend to brown a whole lot eaiser.
Reply:Calla lilies are gaining popularity as wedding flowers. As long-stemmed flowers, they can be used as pageant bouquets (the kind that you hold along your arm), as single-stem bouquets, and in the more common round bouquets. I've also seen them in cascading bouquets, with some of the calla lilies pointing downwards. They also make lovely boutonnières for the gentlemen. Historically, the calla lily means "beauty" which fits in well with the wedding theme. Though they are not technically "in season" in September, most flower shops are able to get them through overseas imports or indoor nurseries.
Reply:gardeinas there beautifil and they have a strong pretty smell the whole room will smell like gardeinas and a very pretty flower

That bouquet is gorgous and will look amazing with the dresses.

This is a little risky but will compliment the blue dresses.

Or this bouquet you can never go wrong with its beautiful and is a classic.

Also these beautiful flowers will look great with the blue.
Im not positive the names of these flowers but if you like them you can print the picture to the florist or the person making the boquets and they will make the exact copy of the picture.
I hope I helped have an amazing wedding! Good luck!
Reply:why not, some white lilly, and add something blue and yellow to it,like those little yellow flowers and something blue to make it match the theme,it's luike being neutral the gown has a black slash but the flowers are more of white.
EDIT: why not put in a bunch of white lilly flowers then add blue ribbons to each stem or you could go with Hydrangeas/star of lilly/calla lilly the link is in the source
Reply:What kind of blue?
A purple and white mix, I reckon. If it's a dark blue go for light purple, if it's a light blue go for a dark purple.
Reply:I know you said you really don't like blue flowers but with the colors you have chosen white roses and some sort of blue flowers would really look very pretty.
Reply:white and pink cuz those colors all blend ogether and i dont think it matters that much becuz its ur desicion and any color wud really look nice with those colors. follow ur heart, itll make the rite desicion
Reply:Consider getting a color wheel book. Find the color of the dresses and see what other colors work best with the color of the dresses.

Is it tacky to use artificial flowers for wedding decoration?
I have a calla lily themed wedding. I found these beautiful silk calla lilies bushes that are going to be on a stand with ivy leaves hanging off the bottoms to decorate the church. The arrangements look beautiful and real....not cheap at all.
Is it tacky to use artificial flowers for wedding decoration?
I used artificial flowers at my wedding and no one could tell the difference until they touched them. I have terrible allergies and I was not going to go though the day with allergy eyes in all of the photographs.
I think especially at a church, they will look beautiful. You might even think about donating some of the decorations to the church so they can be used by someone who might not be able to afford the decorations or lilies can be used at Easter time.

Also made silk flower centerpieces and had pillar candles in the middle.
Reply:Nope, I personally used a mix of silks and real florals in my wedding. Many of my guests took the silks home. My husband and I didn't even get to keep a centerpiece from our wedding, my family swiped them all.
Silks last forever. You can always put them into different arrangements later on and you'll always have a piece of your special day at home.
Reply:I AM DOING THE SAME!!!!!! Lol, I love calla lillies but cannot afford the real ones, so I am getting false ones instead. Where are you getting them from? In a way it can be better because you get to keep them all - I know my sister was devastated when her bouquet died. But with a false one, they are the same forever! And you dont have to worry about them wilting or peope being allergic! Good luck :) and please let me know where you plan to get them from, it might be better than my place!! (ps mine is http://www.sarahsflowers.co.uk/bridesmai... and there are loads more than that one, just search throughout!!)
What's with the thumbs down? I havent done anything wrong!! :S
Reply:no, it's done all the time.
there are shops that specialize in doing bridal centerpieces and bouquets.
I did mine in artificial flowers and that way my bouquet lasted forever ( I didn't throw it - a non-traditional wedding)
Enjoy your special day !!

Reply:Lots of people use artificial flowers. Not everyone can afford real flowers. Especially calla lillies, which are one of the most expensive flowers to have at your wedding. No one will even notice.
Reply:Nope I originally was going to do this so I could keep my bouquet forever but now I'm doing it with everything one because it's so much cheaper and two b/c that way we can keep everything as long as we want!

Reply:No it's not tacky for church decorations... i would be weary of buying them for the reception though
Reply:no i dont think its tacky as long as its really niceee.you said it looks beautiful so it must bee :)

Reply:no, it would be great!!!!!!! :-)
Reply:It should be an aside decoration, not the focus of the room. The only reason that it might be seen as tacky is that you're using something you already have as decoration for such a formal event. If you also use other, real calla lilies, there should be no problem.

What is the cheapest way to have flowers at a wedding?
We have a small party - 50 guests - at a church. We'd like a flower crown for me, a bouquet, flowers on the tables and possibly on the cake.
How can we do these things inexpensively?
What is the cheapest way to have flowers at a wedding?
Buy them from wholesale flower markets. Choose hardy flowers that don't need a lot of upkeep (e.g. roses) if you want to go for less hardy flowers you're probably best to go to a florist because if you do them yourself they may just end up wilting.
For the tables- just put the fresh flowers in vases.
Often when you buy the cake the baker will do the decorating for you (including flowers) so I'd check with them first. If not choose sugar or silk flowers or ones without pollen so that it doesn't fall on the cake.
As for the crown- you may be better off spending a little more on this to get it done by a florist. Unless you know what you're doing or you have a friend that knows what they are doing.
Reply:I had thirty guests at my wedding. We purchased all the flowers at our local wholesale club (BJ's / Sam's / Costco). The seller had fresh roses come in everyday in an array of colors at $7 a dozen. We picked them up 2 days in advance and put them in buckets of water in a nice cool environment (the basement), but didn't cut the bottoms of the stems until the morning of the ceremony so the flowers wouldn't drink too much water and open up too much. We made a natural looking bouquet by wrapping the stems with 2 inch wide cream colored wired ribbon (finished with a bow), and leaving the bottom of the stems visible.
I would also go to a florist for the flower crown - the flowers suitable for them could be delicate (like daisies) and by the time you get the flowers to practice making one and then make the actual crown, you could probably buy one. You could also use paper flowers (not silk) from a craft store for your crown and/or the cake. The flowers aren't too large and they come with wire "stems" so you can wrap them very easily into a crown, or wrap them onto a large hair comb or headband (we found the perfect piece online) and are actually very pretty.
Reply:If you haven't decided on the date of the wedding yet, plan for it to be close to a holiday. Since the church is decorated with flowers anyway around holidays, so you only have to buy a bit of flowers. I think the flowers on the cake should just be fake.
Reply:Consider silk flowers.

Reply:Shop for them yourself. Dont be afraid to use some fake ones where you dont need real ones and look at wholesale shops. They do add up I know I have been there..
Reply:Visit a cemetery and take your pick.

I need recommendations for flowers for wedding bouquets. The colors are yellow and cream.?
I already know that I want daises, daffodills, and cream colored roses. I don't know what else, though. I was planning on going with artificial flowers to save money, and so I can keep them. So whatever suggestions you may have, please let me know!

Lilies would be gorgeous in that bouquet as you've planned it, there are several styles, stephanotis is another you might try (a bit stronger scent and lovely). Dendrobium orchids are another possibility.
Be sure to make a "throw away" bouquet for the bride so that you can keep the one you carried down the aisle.
Artificial flowers can definitely save you a great deal in cost and if arranged artistically you can't tell the difference in pictures or from the audience. If you live in a large city or near one (L.A. or San Francisco, NY, etc) you could also try a flower warehouse.
Be sure to have your bouquet dried so you can preserve it.
Congrats and best wishes.

Reply:Luckily, you can find great flowers at craft stores. Often times they look very natural and are very reasonably priced. An option for you, due to the fact that you want daisies and daffodils, may be to create a natural bouquet. Daisies and daffodils are often regarded as "wildflowers". Begin the bouquet with the daisies and daffodils since you know that you want these included. Next, choose your roses - a tea rose would compliment the other flowers better than a larger bloom. For fillers, you could choose sprays of grasses in deep greens with white or gold highlights. Also, stems and/or sprays with berries is a beautiful compliment to your bouquet. A deep blue or violet would be perfect with the degrees of white in your daisies and roses. Also, you could incorporate vines, such as jasmine and honeysuckle to give the bouquet a wispy, romantic feel. Due to the type of flowers you began with, I would recommend hand tying the bouquet by wrapping a gold or ivory ribbon around the mid-section of the stems.
In addition, for bridesmaids, there are some excellent options. One large, long stemmed gerber daisy with a bow tied on the stem would be beautiful.
I hope this helps. Congratulations! Don't be afraid to use your imagination or experiment.
Reply:Maybe try to incorporate another colour other than yellow and white so that if the bridesmaids are wearing one of those colours, the flowers won't completely blend into their dresses in the pictures. A nice colour to go with yellow and cream are different shades of purple so you could add a few flowers in that way.
Reply:My advice is to go look at craft stores for the flowers you want in your boquet and then get some ideas on how you want to arrange them my mom grandmother and I put together my sister's boquet as well as the ones for the bridesmaids. I believe that the more you do yourself the more beautiful it will be. Good luck! And congratulations!

What else do you use flowers for in a wedding?
I am looking to keep our wedding budget low. I have recently decided to make the bouquets and centerpieces for my wedding, but what else do you use flowers for? Also, my colors are cornflower blue and clover green; what types of flowers do you recommend for those colors?
What else do you use flowers for in a wedding?
Use flowers for the bouquets. You will also need boutonnieres and corsages for the bridal party and honored guests. As far as centerpieces go, you can save a lot by cutting down on flowers there. Instead of elaborate floral arrangements, try floating blooms in rose bowls or placing a few colorful stems in a vase and surrounding it with votive. It will look beautiful and will be more interesting than a basic floral centerpiece.
As far as your colors go, green and blue hydrangeas would be gorgeous. However, depending on the season they could be a little on the pricey side. If you aren't using a ton of them though (they are very full so you wouldn't need to) it would be doable.
They also have light green roses that would be pretty with the blue hydrangeas.
Another pretty blue flower is delphinium, but I am not sure how delicate it is once picked.
Good luck!
Reply:Flowers are good all over the place. If you're getting married by a justice of the peace, put a bouquet on each side of the jp %26amp; couple. In other words, if I were standing at a little distance behind you, I'd see the bouquets on each side. All you need is 2. Ask someone to take the bouquets after the ceremony. If you're having it in church put a bouquet at each pew you know will be occupied, + others at the other spots you already know. Those flowers will adorn the tables at the reception. Use mostly low arrangements at the bride %26amp; groom's table--people will be stopping by. Add glamour with a couple of large clear/light colored candles where they are not likely to get knocked over--center front froma guest point of view. Green dyed carnations + ? Best of luck!

Some people have "alter arrangements" for wherever the ceremony takes place. Some people have fresh flowers in their pew bows/arrangements. Some people have fresh flowers on their cake. Some people have fresh flower arrangements by the guest book, But those are all optional. You could either not do those arrangements or do something besides fresh flowers.
For your colors, definitely the green can be greenery. Not sure for the cornflower blue though- I'm sure you can find something pretty if you just go to a floral shop and start looking.

If you're having a buffet, don't forget the centerpiece for that. I've found that anything under 30" tall looks out of scale. You can't realistically go too tall.

Reply:Groom, Best man, ushers, ring bearer, fathers wear wear boutonnieres. Mothers wear corsages. Flower girl needs petals to throw. Some place flowers on the first several rows of seating to signify special seating for friends and family. Any white flower can be colored to the shades you want for you wedding. You can do this at home with some trial and error. Put food dye in water and put the stem of the flower in. Water will be drawn up and the flower will turn the color of the dye. Daisies and carnations work best for this.

How do I preserve flowers from my wedding?
The wedding was June 17. They have been hanging upside down since then and are dried out. Do I spray them with hairspray to keep them from falling apart? I would just like to keep them as nice as possible. I realize this is not a professional job. Any help to keep them looking the way they are and not fall apart would be appreciated.

You can go to a professional who will dip the flowers in this liquid that will crystalize them and they will stay that way forever with a glossy touch!
Reply:You should have sprayed them with hair spray while they were drying, but you can try spraying them now to see if they'll hold together. Aquanet is a particurlarly good hair spray for preserving flowers.
Reply:Congratulations
I think this web site will help

What kind of flowers for a blue themed wedding?
We have chosen a light sky blue for our wedding color, maybe a tiny bit of lavender as well, and I was looking for suggestions on what kind of flowers would work well on a tight budget? Pictures would be appreciated :)
What kind of flowers for a blue themed wedding?
we are doing a blue %26amp; yellow wedding, I choose, white roses accented w/ yellow asiatic lillies and blue delphinium sprigs. Everything looks so pretty together.
other blue flowers:
hydrangea
iris
try searching the web for blue flowers
a pretty accent color would be brown, yellow(pale)
Reply:White and blue hydrangeas are BEAUTIFUL!
I'm using them in white, green and blue with white roses for my wedding. They are delicate and simply gorgeous.
Reply:blue roses, irises, bell flower -- blue isn't a very common flower color. your best bet is consulting with a couple florists who can tell you what is available.
Reply:hydrangeas are very nice. I used them in my wedding and the blue was a great color! I think it would go with the sky blue everywhere else!
Reply:My wedding colors are blue and silver. I went on Proflowers.com and found really pretty blue hydrangas. They are relatively inexpensive are are pretty.
You also may have the option to have flowers dyed blue. Hope this helps!
Reply:delphinuims (also called larkspur). They come in light blue and true blue.
Reply:hydrangeas are always nice and come in a variety of colors...
but they need to be hand wraped with the stems having enough room for water...they are a very delicate flower and will wilt easily if not properly hydrated. These flowers come in a variety of shades. (if you love this idea dont let any florist tell you they cant do it....they can be done). I almost let a florist talk me out of it, and I was crushed because they are sort of symbolic of the Cape (where we love to go) and in memory of my grandma who lived at the Cape and had them in her backyard. Find the florist who will work with your ideas and budget!

I like Carnations. They last forever and really can be tinted very pretty. I saw a wedding with carnations and roses. very pretty!!
Reply:May is the perfect time for a wedding, unless it is on Mothers Day weekend. The flower prices will almost double at that time.
So best to choose a date after that.
There are lots of flowers to choose from:
bridal pink standard tea roses
baby pink or cherry blossom pink spray roses (lots of roses on one stem)
baby pink sweetheart roses (1 rose per stem but much smaller than a standard rose)
mini carnations
alstroemeria lillies (delicate small lillies that are quite durable)
leptosporumum (a frilly elongated stem that is covered in tiny little pink flowers)
baronia (a stem which is covered in a darker pink filler flowerO
Don't forget you can also tint flowers or spray paint them (using a good quality floral spray of course)
mini cala lillies are a favorite in this area. Simply spray the back part of the lilly lightly to get the shade that you want. You can the same with cymbidium orchids, dendrobium orchids, daisies etc.
Good luck!
Reply:I too got married in May, although quite some time ago. I had great results with tulips for bouquets and peonies for centerpieces. Both are in bloom in May and, because the peonies themselves are such a large flower (about 3 + inches across), they are terrific to make simple, but lush, centerpieces with lots of greenery.
Be sure to specify light pink, as both peonies and tulips come in lots of shades or pink.
Reply:Roses and Carnations mixed or just one is really beautiful.

Good Luck!!!!

Reply:Ask a florist in your area, and you can probably work out a good deal with them to buy in quantity. The established ones would know the "in season flowers" for a paticular month, and would know where to get out of season flowers for you too. I would suggest either looking up the paticular flower online to be sure it suits what you have in mind, or get the florist to furnish pictures or magazines with what the flower looks like. Some give discounts on weddings also.

Reply:If your planning on using fresh flowers then the best thing would be to talk to your florist so that you know what is available and how expensive it will be. The above poster is correct the fresh flowers that are labeled "black" are usually dark red or purple. Personally I really don't think these will look nice with light pink and your color scheme. Instead why not choose a variety of shades of pink and accent the bouquets with a black and pink ribbon. I think a black ribbon with pink edges will compliment and keep it from looking too morbid. You want to use black as an accent to keep it from being to dark and heavy.

However if you wanted to use black flowers as well, the following could work well: Black "Queen of Night" tulips or Black roses.
Always check with your florist to see what is in season to keep the price reasonable.

You can tie a black ribbon around the stems.

Daisies for wedding flowers in end of July/begining of August? With red and white as wedding colors?
I love daisies! They are my favorite flower and they have them all over my parents land growing wild and very pretty. My mom wants to make my flowers for the back home reception for my destination wedding to save money. She used to work at a flower shop. How well do you think this would work with red and white as the wedding colors? Or at this time of the summer?
Daisies for wedding flowers in end of July/begining of August? With red and white as wedding colors?
I think daisies are great, especially if you like them. My wedding was in the beginning of July, and I had Gerbera Daisies in my bouquet. I loved my flowers and got many compliments on them. The daisies were the flowers that were showcased in my bouquet, and were highlighted by ivy (which stands for marriage) and then other flowers with colors that coordinated with the bridesmaids dresses.
Reply:I love daisies as well! I plan to carry a bouquet of multi-colored Gerbera daisies as well as some regular white-and-yellow daisies at my wedding. I think you should use regular white daisies with a few bright red Gerbera daisies mixed in as your flowers, to match your wedding colors. I think late summer is the very best time to have daisies as your wedding flower. To me they are just so innocent and lovely. Good luck!
Reply:I'm a fellow daisey lover...and that includes a daisey-look-a-like flower, gallardia or indian blanket flower.....I have them both planted in my flower bed...the daisies are 'Broadway Lights'...they open up into a pale buttery yellow but then soften to a creamy white.....my gallardias are 'Arizona Sun'-a bright red %26amp; orangey-yellow and "Oranges%26amp; Lemons'-the name reflects the citrus-y colors....
Daisies would look great in a white %26amp; red bouquet.....I would look into Mums as well-they do come in daisey-look alikes but are very petal lush...painted daisies as well can add a splash of color.....gebera are over-done right now but they are an option......and this is daisey season...mine are in over-drive right now...good luck.
Reply:daisies are one of my favorite flowers, too...you can definitely use them, just mix them with some red colored wildflowers, and the bouquet will look great...
Reply:I think they would look cute! Especially if you kind of went with a country style wedding reception.
Reply:Sounds very pretty.... I would stick to all those colors... it is perfect for the summer.
Reply:I think it would be fine for your reception back home... and it will save you money too. You could always order some red flowers from Sams or CostCo to add in to keep your color scheme
Reply:i think ti will be great, especially since they are your favorite

Which florist would one recommend for wedding flowers in Tunbridge Wells?
I would like a florist that won't blow up the prices of the flowers just because it's a wedding. Does anyone know which florist I should go for that is good at their job and also reasonable in their prices?
Which florist would one recommend for wedding flowers in Tunbridge Wells?
I would recommend Eileen Nott. A lot of our customers use them with no complaints. Also Colonade Florists in Monson Road are prety good. Best thing is, these places are virtually next door to each other so they've got to remain competitive with their prices.

How much did you spend on wedding flowers?
I mean bride, maids and a few button holes, not the church?
How much did you spend on wedding flowers?
i am probably going to spend about $250 to $300 bucks and make my bouquets and Bout. and Corasages myself. Im just buying bulk roses from either a wholesaler online or Sams Club, or Costco.
i just cant fatham spending thousands of dollars on some flowers for one day that are going to eventually die.
Reply:Make your own. The fern, flowers and green tape are all available from florist shops; the pins from high street "bits %26amp; pieces" shops or a fabric shop if you know of one. Just take one carnation or a spray of pinks (long lasting flowers), a spring of fern, and tape them securely together. Add a small piece of florist wire if you want them stronger. Put the finished flowers into a nice basket or a disguised/decorated box (ribbons look good) for the big day. Practice beforehand, as you'll have to make these shortly before the wedding.
(the fine fern is better than bracken fern, if you can get it. You could replace fern with a bit of gypsophila for a showier spray)
Reply:about $800
Reply:For my Vow Renewal I am spending $130 on flowers, I wish I could spend 50 like some of you other brides. I haven't a talented bone in my body. Huh! Any tips please feel free to email me. Also silk flowers last longer, plus if you ever choose to do a vow renewal, nothing like using your first bouquet of flowers.
Reply:For the whole wedding it was about $125. I did all the arrangements myself with bulk red and white roses. It looked great too!
Reply:About $500. I had a bridal bouquet of roses (light pink, dark pink, white), lilies, and some other flowers I don't remember. My bouqet was about 14" diameter. There were six bridesmaid's bouquets of about 9" diameter. There also 11 boutineers and four corsages (we gave flowers to our parents and grandparents as well).
I was very happy with the flowers and the price. I got such a good deal because I went to all the florists and said "My budget is $500. What can you do for me? No, I won't look at your fancy book and pick something out for a quote. What can you do for $500?"
Some of the florists absolutely refused to do a quote this way. But a surprising number did, and it was great to see what they came up with when I didn't give them any restrictions besides cost, quantity, and color.
Reply:About 800. My bouquet was around 80 - it was big, a hand-tied European bouquet of a variety of flowers - a few roses, stargazer lily, carns, alstromeria, etc. The four bridesmaids had smaller versions, and were about 60. Boutonnieres were baby carns for the four groomsmen. There were several corsages and boutonnieres for family members. That total amount also included three floral arrangements, which we used at the church, then used at the head table for the reception.
Reply:Reception Centerpiece Flowers$120.00
Bride's Bouquet$250.00
Bride's Tossing Bouquet$50.00
Bridesmaids - flowers$50.00

You can spend as much or as little as you want, there arent any set rules, its what you and your fiance decide.

Reply:I spent $4,000 on ALL my wedding flowers, but the flowers were a really important part of the wedding for me. I love gardening and outdoor stuff so having exactly what I wanted in flowers was a necessity.
You need to figure out how important the flowers are to you in your wedding. You could definately get away with only spending a couple hundred for everything all together.

I wanted a prayer book, not a bouquet, mum made me have flowers, she said if I held a white prayer book I would look like a pint of milk, so she paid and I have no idea how much. Seeing how long the marriage lasted I think a pint of milk would have been cheaper!

Reply:Actually, I'm not paying for them. My future mil is a florist and is giving us our flowers as her gift to us. I'm only getting calla lilies, though, so it will probably only be around $100-150 for the bridal party and parents (boutiniers %26amp; corsages).
It depends on what kind of flowers you want. If you want all roses, it could be more expensive than having daisies and carnations mixed in with some lilies.
Reply:I think each bridesmaid bouquet was about $10. They were white roses bought in bulk from Sam's Club, tied with a light pink ribbon. My bouquet was also a simple one, just a bunch of pink roses tied together, and it was probably $20 or so. In all, about $50 for the wedding party. I preferred the simple bouquet's over the lavish, professional ones.

Reply:By layers I'm assuming you mean tiers? Are the tiers stacked or separated? Maybe you can draw out what you remember and show it to your bakery. Remember when looking for cakes, don't look for your colors. If you see an orange and green cake you like it can be done in cream and yellow also. Do a search under floral wedding cakes images and hopefully you'll come across it again. Here is one of many I found. Good Luck.

What color combinations do you recommend for a fall wedding? Flowers?
www.myjeanm.com
they have awsome color combos and and interactive invitations designer that allows you to see your colors together! they also have theme ideas if you order their catalog (it is free)
What color combinations do you recommend for a fall wedding? Flowers?
i think you should go with a light gold for your brides mates dresses and have that deep red calla lilly as your flowers.
Reply:Bright colors are in when it comes to yellow and orange, otherwise deep burgundy/plum/purple colors are popular. I would suggest going with some rich tones in the yellow/orange/red color scheme. You can also add in some gold. Here are some popular flower combinations for a bridal bouquet:
1. hypericum in red, orange and red roses/mini roses, orange/red callas, and other popular fillers with red leaf detailing. How about add some gold to the leafs or add in some small rainbow fall leafs? How about adding some small topaz gems. Check out www.bouquetjewels.com
2. Golden and orange tones of roses only in varrying sizes
3. Red roses only for the simple elegance look. You can have your attendents carry different color bouquets in orange and yellow tones. This cuts costs as well when you stick with one flower type.
4. Burgundy dahlias/chrysanthemums, purple roses, purple/plum hydrangea, light green cymbidium orchids, light dreen dendrobium orchids, with a tough of other complimenting flowers.
To try something unusual/different here are some suggestions:
1. Line the outside of your bouquet in fall leafs. A good florist can make this look great.
2. Add some gold tipping to some greens or flowers.
3. Add some gems
4. Add orchids. They are special, unique, and come in many colors.
5. Add some small pumpkins or fall grass or even line your bouquet in hay? That would be very unusual.
6. Add a ring of berries around your bouquet or hypericum in fall colors.
7. Add a special piece of jewelry to your bouquet.
8. Go with bright colors. The colors will cheer up your day. Orange is the color of happiness.

Reply:Shyte brown and p1ss orange.
Reply:any fall colors. Also you could try and use a fall color, like brown with a non-traditional fall color like ice blue to pink. its all what YOU want
Reply:My friend's daughter got married in October and had a dark red color...and for favors had little leaf cookie cutters with a tag on them that said "Cut out for each other"...and they put leaves on the tables to jazz them up...
Reply:It depends on what part of the fall you are planning this wedding. Burnt orange, yellow and auburn red would be pretty for early fall. If it is later in fall, dark blue, hunter green and burgundy would be very nice.
Reply:i know it's totally off the wall but if you get married in October how about black and orange for Halloween. you don't have to go all out with costumes or anything like that just incorporate the colors somehow. have fun.
Reply:I think the dresses should be an off-white, maybe going as far as to say goldish. Nothing that too strongly resembles autumn. If you are having an outdoors wedding, or will be located where you will be surrounded by nature's autumn colors, I think you should try to stand out a little, rather than run the risk of everything bleding together.
as for the decorations, table placements and the such... you could do more of a pure autumn theme there, just don't go overboard. these are very strong, powerful colors, and should be used in moderation.
Reply:Reds, deep oranges and yellows, rich browns, and golds. Harvest colours.
Autumn
Autumn themed weddings are opportunities to bring splashes of brilliant color into the mix. Look to deep oranges, rich browns and bold reds when choosing bridal party attire and decorations. Accent your bridesmaids' gowns with colorful shawls to ward off the evening chill. For the bride's gown, consider a fabulous gold gown or a lustrous ivory dress with gold accents. Choose locations with dark woods and stonework.
For centerpieces, consider baskets filled with colorful gourds and dried corn or, if the season allows, fishbowls filled with gorgeous turned leaves. Warm your guests with hot soup, chicken or turkey, and steaming mashed potatoes or squash. Pumpkins, gourds, haystacks and autumn leaves make wonderful motifs for invitations. For favors, wrap packets of pumpkin seeds in swatches of vibrant orange cloth.
Flowers...
Use those associated with fall. Use rich colouring. Use some autumn harvest as decorations, too. Maybe some coloured leaves, mini pumpkins, decorative gourds. Use a deep red/burgandy for a table cloth, with gold or burnt orange colour napkins, etc., especially if they have a line or decoration on them that has the burgandy colour. Do a fall or thanksgiving themed celebration dinner; such as turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potato, aything you want, just things that stand out as an autumn food.
Congrats on the wedding!

What can I carry at my wedding besides flowers?
My grandmother and I are both severely allergic to flowers so I don't really want to carry them. I don't like flowers that much either so I was thinking something other than silk flowers. Also, I need somthing other than flowers to use as centerpieces on the tables. My wedding will be in July 2007 so I have time to plan something elaborate.
What can I carry at my wedding besides flowers?
carry your grandmother then.
Reply:If you are planning a church wedding, a bible would be approprate.
Reply:cascading ribbons, each symbolizing someone important in your lives.
Reply:Have a candlelit ceremony. Carry a large candle down the aisle, and place candles on the reception tables. Congratulations!
Reply:You could use candles.
Reply:I carried a crystal "bouquet" you can find them on the web. I listed a site below but it's not the one I used, I can't remember where I got mine. It was beautiful.
Find a beautiful candle holder and put candles on the table. You could use floating candles in nice bowl with water. Make sure your guests can see one another across the table. Good Luck
Reply:You could use any of the other suggestions here, or something nonflowering, like pussywillow or some pretty leaves tied with a bow. Some traditions have brides carrying a Bible or string of prayer beads/rosary. If you have a favorite beaded necklace, you can carry that in your hands. If you have a small child or even a well behaved pet, you could carry them. Technically you don't have to carry anything, you could just walk with your hands folded in front of you or both hands on whoever is escorting you.
For centerpieces, candles are classy and have lots of options. You could go for uniformity of color, size, and number, or mix them up any way you like. I used tall pillar candels in glass jars wrapped with star garland and the table around them were sprinkled with shaped confettii. Some halls will let you rent centerpieces, so consider that. There are flat mirrors you could use as a base, then a basic fish bowl or shallow bowl that you can place floating candles in. If you are crafty you could make the bowls and candles yourself. Other places have had a small collection of photos featuring the couple and their family arranged in the center of the table, or a stack of items (toys, bracelets, cupcakes, etc) meant for the guests to take home as favors. At one wedding there were different candies in the center of each table, the was a small container at each place setting, and guests mingled by going table to table picking out what candies they wanted.
Reply:Well, I don't know what you should carry, but some green plants would probably look good on the tables, done up like little topiaries, heart-shaped maybe. You could go medieval and carry a bouquet of herbs and wheat...just a thought, there! Candles are good, and silk flowers are another option. You could carry a small purse in the same fabric as your dress, with silks attached to it. Not big and fussy, but pretty, and functional. Carry the ring in it! My sister-in-law had hoops with ribbons and flowers, you could do that with more bows...seed pearls, etc. Go talk to a floral designer, they should be able to help you out.
Reply:I had a friend who also had an allergy to flowers. Shem instead, carried a decorated fish bowl with a floating (unscented) candle, which was lit.
Other options:
1. You can carry a small gift wrapped box as a symbol. (You presenting yourself as a gift to your future husband. You can explain this in your bulliten.)
As for your centerpiece at the end of the aisle, Unity Candle and a Bible. Nothing better in my opinion.
For your tables...you can use the Fish Bowl you carried as the main table's decor. All other tables, use small circular mirrors with smaller fish bowls and candles. (Have small glass marbles in the bottom so when the candle light reflects through the water and marbles, you have a nice array of colors.)
Reply:How about a fan?
Reply:Ok I'm going off the wall here, but what about a favorite object of yours? Something that means a lot to you and your soon to be husband. As an example, I planned to carry the sword my girlfriend gave me if we get married, because it means a lot to me that it came from here and it means a lot to her knowing that it's a bond between us.
Reply:For centerpieces at my wedding I had pillar candles and fruit. We made the things we put them on out of large terra cotta pot trays and small terra cotta pots turned upside-down. We glued them together to make a sort of cake tray and painted them. You don't really have to carry anything down the aisle but you could put together something with ribbon and pearls.
Reply:maybe some dramatic glass beads? They could be draped to sort of feel like a bouquet.
Reply:a baby
Reply:I've always liked the unity candle idea. There can be the unity candle in the middle of an arrangement of hurricane vases and glass beads or stones. The bride can carry a candle (A stout ivory or white pillar so you can look up instead of guarding the flame from your gown or extinguishing), and the waiting groom has one. Once you arrive at the front, you both place your candles in their awaiting holders on either side of the unity candle. You can use white tapers left on the table to tranfer the flames from each personal candle to the unity candle. The candlelight is beautiful, and its reflection off of a glass arrangement will be just as stunning as flowers, and will let you use your kleenex for the right purpose on your special day, Tears of Joy! Best Wishes for a wonderful life together:)
Reply:Refer this one to Martha Stewart, Baby!
Reply:Try a bouquet of balloons. They can add some spunk %26amp; fun as well.

Need help with wedding flowers! Please help with color, style, and flower choice!?
I'm getting married in Sept. I'm doing all my flowers for my wedding, including corsages, boutineere's, bouquets, and centerpices. I'm probably using roses. My bridemaids dresses are going to be dark red with a light beige color sash. I need help with what color roses to do for their bouquets. For my bouquet I was thinking of using the bi-color roses (the white ones with red tips) or either white/ peach. My dress is strapless and hasn't much designing at the bottom. Should I do a cascade or round bouquet? What color roses should I do for the topiary centerpieces?? I was thinking maybe peach and white, but I really want the black magic roses somewhere in the wedding because they match the bridemaids dresses. If ya'll know of any good websites or have any good pics or any advice, please do help out!
Need help with wedding flowers! Please help with color, style, and flower choice!?
What I would do is get roses in the same shade as the bridesmaids dresses and then add white stephonitis, soft pink roses and some green ivy but in a bouquet with white ribbon wrapped around the stems not a cascade. For you I think bi-color roses which you talk about is great, with a pure white orchid in the center of the bouquet. But the peach bothers me. Peach does not really go with red. I would add rosy pink roses instead with white stephonitis with ivy in a cascade. Then centerpieces could carry your color scheme too. Boutineers should be red for groomsmen and white for the groom, preferably Lily of the Valley and white rose with a touch of green. Mothers should get corsages that match their gowns. Make sure you use a good florist because roses do not keep as do other flowers. They tend to wilt. So take that into consideration. Good Luck to you.
Reply:There are roses called black magic roses. They are a deep burgundy color. I am using them for my wedding. They are really pretty.
Reply:go to theknot.com. they have galleries of bouquets and centerpieces in all sorts of colors.
Reply:I think you should carry a round boquet for you and your maids. Yours should be the black magic roses and theirs can be white. Sort of opposite of the dresses. Round boquets are so much prettier and up to date than the cascade ones.
The centerpieces could be a combination of flowers. Roses get expensive, but look really nice. OR you could use peonies, tulips, calla lilies, orchids...you have lots of options. Lots of times if you can't find a flower color you like, but you like the flower itself you can ask if they can dye it to match the rest of your flowers. Just a thought.

Wedding flowers - Calla Lillies?
Have a talk with a florist. It won't cost you a thing and they can give you the correct information for your area.
Congratulations on your up coming marriage.
Reply:I've worked for florists in the US. Calla lilies are available year round and there are many different verities and colors from which to choose. Just keep in mind they can be expensive. Also, a florist may have to special order the flowers so always give advanced notice. Contact you're local florist for advise. Find one that makes you feel comfortable and will work with your budget.
Best wishes for your wedding.
Reply:well mine just flowered about 1-2 months but it is winter here and i do not know what your season but it should be alright because there is this kind of gas i think it is ethene that makes any plant flower so where ever you live you should be able to find some calla lillies good luck

Does the brides bouquet have to have the same flowers as the wedding flowers or the bridesmaids flowers?
I'm getting married this summer and I am trying to decide what flowers I want...
Does the brides bouquet have to have the same flowers as the wedding flowers or the bridesmaids flowers?
You should have want you want.....and if it is not like the other who cares as long as your are happy. congrats.
Reply:Usually the bridesmaids' bouquet is a smaller version of the bride's.
Reply:Your stress can be too much - don't worry about the color of flowers - do what you want - I saw pics of a wedding wear nothing matched and it looked great together. They let the bridesmaids wear dresses they already had - the dresses fit - no money spent and everyone was comfortable
Reply:there's nothing written in stone on how it should be, but generally the bride has a mixture of flowers some same as the bridesmaids some different to stand out a little.
it's really your choice what you want.
Reply:You can do pretty much whatever you want for flowers. I do recommend that the size of the bouquet not be too big. It looks ridiculous when a petite girl is carrying a huge bouquet.
Reply:Yes, everything must match or else you risk the Old Biddy Wedding Police sweeping in and annuling your marriage right then and there.
Seriously, if you love matching, match away, but there is no rule or even major expectation that everything be identical. Most florists are great getting flowers together in a pleasing form. Personally I liked having my bouquet stand out a little, some of the same colors but in different flowers combined with some of the same flowers but in different colors compared to my bridesmaids. My sister had flowers in her's that didn't match anyone or anything else in the wedding, but they looked lovely with everything else.
Don't sweat the small stuff, hon, and trust me, the flowers are the small stuff.
Reply:You can do what you want - you are the bride.
Reply:I know nothing about flowers, so I just googled wedding flowers, looked at some arrangements, and decided I like roses. A lady at church did my flowers at cost. They were lovely. We went with all roses.
Reply:I didnt have the same flowers becaues it s your day and you should be unique.
Reply:do what ever you want, it is your wedding. Saying that my mother in law to be made all the flower bouquets and she made mine similar to the bridesmaids but a bigger bouquet and a little bit different arrangement of flowers to stand out.
Reply:Who cares!
It's your day
do what you want!!
Reply:No, you can have your bouquet how ever you want it and it doesn't have to match...unless you want it to.
My bouquet is going to match only in color to the rest of the girls in my party. At my friends wedding she had Calla Lillies that were colored and we had average white flowers. It's all up to you and the florist you choose to design flowers that are complementary to you and the style of your wedding.
I hope this helps. Congrats and Good Luck!!!
Reply:No not at all, in fact it should be different. What makes a beautiful bouquet are white roses, a center orchid, some ivy, maybe some color. But make your bouquet very different from the bridesmaids bouquets.
Reply:it sometimes looks better that way; but no, it's not a requirement.
Reply:It doesn't have to be, but if you decide to carry different flowers, they should coordinate with the rest of the wedding party!

What is the best color for wedding flowers?
* it can be a combination of 2 colors...pls help!
What is the best color for wedding flowers?
i'm partial to tropical flowers so magenta and white makara orchids, take a look at www.teleflora.com and look up " zen artistry" and "loves sweet dream" (names of bouquets). Just the right amount of green to balance. :)
I also used bear grass and white carnations in addition to the orchids. What I loved about these flowers, besides how beautiful they were, was that I could have them close to my face without having an allergic reaction, and none of our guests suffered allergic reactions either. (allergies make for an ugly wedding day)
Reply:Well... I think to answer that we would have to get to know YOU.
The color of your flowers should reflect your personality and the tone you're trying to set for your wedding.
If you wedding is in the summer time and you're super energetic and fun... I might do orange and hot pink.

If you're a more traditional bride I may do a lavender... I would stick with just the lavender if you're traditional... but if not it would look pretty cool with some blue

You're not just limited to roses though...
I wish you would have told us more about your vision and colors. I also LOVE pink calla lilies (I'm the non-traditional bride)

pink and purple are also nice

Reply:You can do it several ways...
1] pick the colors the wedding party is wearing
2] bride could have all white, with just a few colored flowers
3] pick the flower from bride's birth month, and from groom's birth month
4] pick a mix of seasonal flowers [ many colors ]
Reply:Pale colors. I think bright flowers look a little tacky. Not in general, but at a formal affair. Pale green, lilac, soft pink, and of course, white. If you ever look in a bridal mag, if it is a more upscale setting the flowers are always soft. Never bright yellow or purple or orange.
Reply:I love chocolate brown and tiffany blue.. you could have different shades of blue.. tiffany, turquoise.. etc...
Pink also works.. baby pink, hot pink, magenta...
Pick your favorite color and enhance it...
congrats

Purple and Green wedding flowers? What color bridesmaids dresses that will match?
I had those colors for my wedding this fall. If I may make a suggestion on flowers... mini purple calalilies. They are beautiful.
I chose dark purple for my bridesmaids and dark green accessories for the groomsmen.
Reply:The dresses could be a light green color, that way they will go with the greenery and the purple of the flowers, or you could use a light lavendar or purple colored dress that would also go with their flowers. Making sure that flowers and dresses go together is always a hard part but if need be bring the flowers that your thinking of using to a bridal shop and ask the person that works there what colors would best go with the flowers you've chosen
Reply:Sage or Lilac.
Reply:I agree that black goes with everything.
I also think that a soft pink, or a light beige/tan/latte/brown - whatever you want to call it - will go well with deep purple and green. You do not want to over do it with colors, so more of a neutral dress color will not overkill the flowers. Mint, Pastatio, or even a grayish silverish dress would look nice as well....
Good luck! I wish you the best!
Reply:seafoam green or really like purple
Reply:sage
Reply:sorry about the spelling.lavender, maybe a lilac color.stay away from blue's greens or reds
Reply:A very soft lavendar.
Reply:Either a light lavender or a soft sage would look beautiful.
Reply:well... I work in a bridal accessories shop...and I would suggest that you would pick the purple. I think that purple is one of those colors that many different skin tones can carry. I would say try not to go too too dark because if you have some fair skinned girls it might wash them out a bit. The nice thing about color is that you can pick it up in pretty much any place...so it might be nice to add a bracelet in a green tone or get something for the girls hair that is in a green tone... if you want any other Ideas... I would be happy to help you!
Reply:Purple, Lime Green, ~For a dramatic, lively look to your day, choose colors with real punch. Purple, lime green, and bright pinks look crisp and fresh! Hydrangea, roses, lilacs, hyacinth, iris, pansies, stock, delphinium, lisianthus, lavendar, and mums grow in shades of purple. Limey greens will add brightness.
Royal blue bridesmaid dresses would look really nice with purple and green, also pink..
check out the link below with different color schemes.

Reply:It all depends on what shade of color you like. I personally love the color of sage green and mauve.
Reply:Why not go with a deep purple dress. they wont look like Barney if that's what you're thinking because they will be really dark dresses.
Reply:Black. It goes with everything.
Reply:A soft purple or soft green. Lavender, or peridot would be real pretty. Or you could always do ivory
horns
