What suit, tie, shirt colour combination will work best for my fiance? Wedding flowers: orange, red?

He looks really good in black. I want the tie to match his buttoniere (which will be orange / red like my flowers) but I don't know what colour shirt will look best. I don't want his shirt to be white.

Keep the shirt a neutral color. The red and orange flowers are bright enough that adding another item in a vibrant color will be more of an eye sore than anything. You didn't say what color his suit/tux will be, but I am assuming black.

Since you don't want a white shirt, try a black one. It's a very modern look, plus you already said you think he looks good in black. Then adding the wedding color(s) with the tie and flowers will stand out and brighten his look so it's not so dark.
Reply:If your wedding dress is white; he really needs to go with a white shirt. An ivory/off white would not really look right with your white dress. However, if you wanted to bring the color in; look at the great looking vests they have out there now. Even though it is not a prom, it is YOUR wedding and if you want color-get it! Just don't get too much or make it heavy. That's all everyone will be concentrating on! Good Luck
Reply:if u don't want him to wear a white shirt then maybe a cream or ivory shirt will look good. other colors will make the whole look tacky.
Reply:Sweetie please go with white. With those colors you have no choice.
Reply:An off-white or an ivory would work, other than that, you would have too much colour going on.
Reply:If not white, which is always correct, his shirt should match the white (assuming..) of your gown or dress.

If he looks best in black, let him wear a white shirt. It looks best. This isn't a prom .
