We have chosen a light sky blue for our wedding color, maybe a tiny bit of lavender as well, and I was looking for suggestions on what kind of flowers would work well on a tight budget? Pictures would be appreciated :)
What kind of flowers for a blue themed wedding?
we are doing a blue %26amp; yellow wedding, I choose, white roses accented w/ yellow asiatic lillies and blue delphinium sprigs. Everything looks so pretty together.
other blue flowers:
hydrangea
iris
try searching the web for blue flowers
a pretty accent color would be brown, yellow(pale)
Reply:White and blue hydrangeas are BEAUTIFUL!
I'm using them in white, green and blue with white roses for my wedding. They are delicate and simply gorgeous.
Reply:blue roses, irises, bell flower -- blue isn't a very common flower color. your best bet is consulting with a couple florists who can tell you what is available.
Reply:hydrangeas are very nice. I used them in my wedding and the blue was a great color! I think it would go with the sky blue everywhere else!
Reply:My wedding colors are blue and silver. I went on Proflowers.com and found really pretty blue hydrangas. They are relatively inexpensive are are pretty.
You also may have the option to have flowers dyed blue. Hope this helps!
Reply:delphinuims (also called larkspur). They come in light blue and true blue.
Reply:hydrangeas are always nice and come in a variety of colors...
but they need to be hand wraped with the stems having enough room for water...they are a very delicate flower and will wilt easily if not properly hydrated. These flowers come in a variety of shades. (if you love this idea dont let any florist tell you they cant do it....they can be done). I almost let a florist talk me out of it, and I was crushed because they are sort of symbolic of the Cape (where we love to go) and in memory of my grandma who lived at the Cape and had them in her backyard. Find the florist who will work with your ideas and budget!

Reply:I'm not sure if you are going with "real" or with "artificial". Knowing that the latter cost less than "real" from florists. They make quite a bit of money on weddings. Here is a website for you to visit for artifical:

You could always carry a single calla lily and wrap the stem in light blue ribbon.
Reply:White and blue painted daisy's with baby breath, any flower that is white can be dyed any shade. Congratulations.
