What is your budget for flowers at your wedding?

How much are you spending on flowers at your wedding and what are you getting for that price?

What is your budget for flowers at your wedding?
We spent around 800. I had my bouquet. 4 bridesmaids. a huge alter decoration. a bunch of glads (something like 125) that I arranged myself in vases on the tables. My husband, four groomsmen, 2 fathers, 2 grandfathers all got simple flowers for their boutiners. Corsage for 2 mothers, 4 aunts, 2 grandmothers. a seperate Tossing bouquet that I also used as a cake topper and some flowers to be sprinkled on the cake.

I also used silk hibiscus flowers tied to the trees (the reception hall had fake trees around the room) and scattered on the gift table. I used the few expensive arrangments from the rehearsal--bamboo, ginger, orchids-- on the head table only. And I bought about 6 arrangements of lucky bamboo (that spirals) and put split them on the bar and the favor table.

It all depends on how much you want to do yourself (table arrangements) or if you want something specific like those lil flowers shaped like balls. How many expensive flowers you want or if you are willing to use more filler like carnations. and where you live.

Good luck
Reply:we spent $1800. This included Bridal bo-k and toss bo-k. we also had 6 Bridesmaids and a jr. bridesmaid bo-k. three mothers corsages, two grandmothers, grooms bout. and 6 groomsmen and ring bearer bouts. three fathers, three grandfathers and i think 7-8 other bouts and corsages for people involved in wedding (host/hostes, etc.) and altar bo-k. you can always get a better deal by staying with flowers that are in season. our wedding was in the fall and we had gorgeous flowers with tons of color. aside from the bo-k weighing a ton, they were amazing.

we also had about 50-60 small carnations that i used for a second bridal toss. we had all the little girls come up first and i threw back the carnations so that they went everywhere. all the little girls and a couple of the little boys(who wanted to play too) got at least a couple flowers. we didnt want to see any broken hearts from some little girl getting trampled for the bo-k. it was more fun to see all the little smiles and the carnations were extremely cheap.
Reply:800.00 40 dozen roses mainly yellow some white its a wonderful buy
Reply:I spent $40 on my flowers. That included all the bouquets (4 total) and all the pin-on flowers for groomsmen, groom, ushers, family, etc. I used silk flowers. Almost everyone kept their flowers as a momentum. I never had to worry about them wilting or not looking the way I wanted. I would definetely do it again.
Reply:We budgeted $250.00 for the flowers. We opted for silk flowers instead of real, and my mother-in-law's neighbor, who had done flower arrangements before and has a really great decorative eye, did the arrangements prior to the wedding. The $250.00 covered the cost of all of the silk flowers, and we offered to pay her [the neighbor] for her time, but she insisted on doing it as a wedding gift to us. They came out beautiful, and so real-looking that my aunt actually turned to me while we were outside taking photos and cautioned that we better get my flowers inside before they started wilting. When we told her they were silk, she couldn't believe it! We also used the silk flowers as cake decorations; I had our bakery make the traditional cake layers and got the dimensions from them, then gave those dimensions to the neighbor and she pre-made arrangements for each layer. I told the bakery that I needed something on top of each layer so something could be placed there, and they have these plastic disks that they can put on top, so you just take the disk off with the flowers when you are ready to cut and eat. We had a great wedding, and pulled the whole thing off, even feeding 90+ guests, at about $5,000.00. Best of luck to you!
Reply:About 800 for the ceremony only. Where i am having the wedding at does my reception. I got my boquet, 5 attendants bouquets, corsages for my mom, his mom, his 2 grandmothers, and butoineers for 10 and the vases at the alter and bows for the pews.

Its all roses too.
Reply:hopefully, no more than150$ my mom works in the floral department at AC Moore, so i plan on buying mostly silk flowers with coupons and her employee discount and helping her arrange them for my bouquet, and a few decorations, like an arch maybe. but we're getting married outside, so we won't really have to get that many flowers to decorate the place with, because they'll already be there. i'm thinking of maybe getting fresh wildflowers for my bouquet, but i'm not sure yet. i might combine fresh and silk flowers in it so that i can have some real flowers to dry or press to frame with our invitation....oh, and i'de be getting the flowers from my yard and friends' gardens. ;) good luck!!
Reply:I spent $150.I used silk flowers and I got four toss bouquets, one bridal bouquet, six boutennaires 16 ft of garlands (blue and white), pew bows and 2 pks of silk rose petals in the colors of royal blue and baby blue.
Reply:I am using silk flowers for my wedding. So that I can keep them forever as well as my bridemaids and maid of honor. So far they have been very inexpensive. I am making the bouquets myself with the help of my maid of honor.
Reply:Mine was $1500. I got absolutley amazing flowers for that price - more than I expected actually.
Reply:As an estimate, Flowers should be approximately 15% of your total budget:

Reception Site/Food/Favors 45%

Photography %26amp; Video 15%

Flowers 15%

Music 8%

Rehearsal Dinner 5%

Bridal Gown 5%

Limousines / Transportation 3%

Stationery / Invitations 2%

Bridal Accessories 1%

Clergy/Chapel 1%

Wedding Accessories 1%

A smaller flower shop or a work-from-home flower designer can probably give you better prices than big or well-known shops since they will most likely have less overhead.
Reply:We are spending $3,800 (NYC area, so everything costs you more unfortunately). For this we are getting:

16 tall arrangements of hydrangea, antique roses, snapdragons, and a bunch fo other flowers I can't remember, in a tall glass vase filled with orchids. (these will double as aisle arrangements set on pedestals, then transferred to ballroom for tables)

2 tall and 2 short arrangements for ceremony altar area

Scattered votive candles and rose petals for all the tables

One bridal bouquet of hydrangea, roses, snapdragons, etc. (+ free toss bouquet, which I prob. won't use)

Four Bridesmaid bouquets of the same flowers.

3 corsages for moms, grandma

10 boutonnieres for groom, groomsmen, fathers, grandfathers, brother

2 arrangements for restrooms

One escort table arrangement with scattered rose petals underneath for place cards to rest in

Assorted roses, hydrangeas, orchids and snapdragons for butlered hor devour trays, and for cocktail hour displays
