I'm getting married March 24, 2007 I was wondering what type of flowers should I have as my wedding bouquet, and do you know what I need to put a cute small one together myself.
Thank You
Can Anyone Help Me With Wedding Flowers?
Hey, thats my date too! Well-a good standard is roses and they are super easy to work with and make into a nice round hand-tied bouquet, and they come in practically every color in the rainbow so it would work with any color scheme. It would really help if I knew what your colors were so that I could be more specific on flowers, but oh well! I worked a florist for 2 years so what you will need to make the bouquet- flowers. find out if they have to be wired or not-if you are doing roses or gerbera daisys or something like that then yes-and so you will need to get some thin floral wire. you will need some floral tape-it won't stick to anything but itself so you may wanna get a roll and practice taping some pencils together or something. you will need some ribbon to wrap your stems in and some hot glue to glue it to the stems and then to finish it off at hte end. Its also really pretty to take pearl head corsage pins and stick them into the stems after you've wrapped the bouquet with ribbon and jazz up the "handle" I'll inclose a pic of what I'm talkin about. if you need more suggestions let me know-with a few more details about what you have in mind I think I could give you some really neat ideas.
Reply:First find out what kinds of flowers are available that time of year for where you live. As for putting a small one together yourself, try wedding sites like www.theknot.com it is a site that allows brides to discuss tons of issues of putting a wedding together.
As for your bouquet, sometimes a single stem of your favorite flower is a very elegant touch.
Reply:why not you put white rose in your wedding? Or lavender?
the smell will make your guest feel free..
Reply:Save on Crafts %26amp; Super weddings have ideas.
Also visit a Michael's or Hobby Lobby if you have one.
If you are using silk, then you have a much wider range of choices for flowers. But roses are usually the traditional wedding bouquet flower.
Reply:I got married in March of 2005 and I used orchids and lilles accented with roses. it was beautiful
Reply:Go to www.abcustom.com...click on planning tools and then flowers. They have a guide as to which flowers are in season when.
Reply:i just like plain roses!! i dont know maybe its not original but i think they are beautiful
Reply:Firstly, what will the weather be like in March in your area? Certain types of flowers will tend to wilt more in warm weather (especially if it's an outdoor wedding) as opposed to others, such as Calla lilies. If it will be warm, avoid white flowers because they will start to brown on the edges. Early spring is a great time for tulips, so consider a spray of tulips. Carnations, mixed with other flowers, are a good choice - they stand up well especially under the hot lights of a wedding ceremony. I would suggest getting a couple of bridal magazines, or going on flower websites such as 1800flowers.com to get some ideas.
