Do we have to make arrangements to take it all home? Or are they typically thrown away? We're having floating flowers in water, so I don't think I'll find a use for wet flowers afterwards?
What is done with the wedding flowers in the centerpieces after the ceremony?
some guests/wedding party(mother of the bride or mother of the groom)usually take them home to decorate-or you can always throw them away.
Reply:people at the wedding usually take them home anything that is left gets tossed
Reply:At some weddings I've been to, they let the lady guests take the flowers home. But floating flowers? I suppose you could dry them off and make leis out of them. Wouldn't that be so pretty?! :)
Reply:Usually your "user" azz friends and relatives (that didnt RSVP) will take them to their homes.
Reply:do what you want with them take what you want of them (if there is any) and then throw the rest away or give them to some one!
Reply:some guests take them with them, or otherwise, like the other decorations, thier thrown out : (
Reply:some guests will take their table's centerpiece home with them. i don't know what other venues do, however, because we live in a wee town our two halls take all flowers to the local hospital and seniors center. it truly brightens their day up and the brides don't seem to mind their flowers being given a 'second life' at all!
Reply:Well my parents own a restaurant and when people hve weddings, the flowers are normally left there and we just throw them away or the staff tke it
Reply:Trash 'em . . .
Reply:Give them away to any guest who wants one, then keep three or four for the house, trash the rest.
Reply:You can do whatever you want with them actually. But most people tend to keep them for a few days until they turn old. Then, they keep the container but they throw out the flowers.
Reply:Often times you can ask your guests to take them home. Otherwise yes they pretty much just get thrown out. If it is something you are bringing in to the reception site the location will likely want you to remove them at the end and take care of it so if it is not something savable.. like wet flowers.. they will pretty much end up in the trash! So think economical.. lol. Marriage should be set up so that that it lasts longer than the flowers anyway :)
Reply:Yes, you should DEFINITELY talk to your bridesmaids, mother, and future MIL about who can stick around after the reception to help with cleanup. Those are the people who will pack up the flower arrangements for you. Some brides choose to keep 1 arrangement and give the others away to family members.
